How your Councillors and Volunteers have been supporting you with the Coronavirus lockdown

8 April, 2020

Cards offering support have been posted in the villages, as well as telephone volunteers phoning residents who felt isolated for a chat and offer of help.

The cards were also delivered to the three local pharmacies in Bargoed based upon the number of residents they deliver medication to.  They will go in every medication prescription they deliver to residents in the village.

Caerphilly CBC have also set up some good contact points for help, so we are using social media to update residents along with local contacts within the community.

This has resulted in several texts, phone calls and e-mails from residents asking for support, and what help we could provide.  Shopping, medication collection, utility card top ups and telephone chats are happening on a daily basis.

If you need any help or support you can contact your local councillor who’s contact details are included on this website under ‘Meet your Councillors’.

We would like to thank all the volunteers who are supporting the local community during this difficult time.
